I have been frequenting a lot of markets lately and have been lucky enough to discover many amazing artists from the land of Oz. I thought a nice way to honour them (since I can’t buy anything right now) would be to post about them! And a new category is born!
Bridget Bodenham Ceramics
First on the admiration list, is Bridget Bodenham Ceramics. I discovered her at the Finders Keepers market in Sydney last weekend which was held at the Australian Technology Park, a very cool venue which I always enjoy visiting.
Bridget aims to “create a sense of curiosity and reflection in form and function”. She works from home in country Victoria out of a converted shipping container which overlooks her veggie garden and chooks! I must admit, I am a little jealous!
Her ceramics really stood out to me as unique and well crafted, you can tell she loves what she does! What I really loved was the small hints of gold which she uses, gold always catches my eye and makes me swoon. Each of her pieces is unique and really affordable with some items going for only $30 or $40! I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
